Folly Beach Election 2025

Municipal Election – November 4, 2025
The Charleston County Board of Elections will oversee the upcoming Folly Beach municipal election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
All election-related questions (candidacy, filing, dates, voter registration, voter eligibility, etc.) should be directed to WWW.CHSVOTES.GOV

The following seats will be on the ballot:

Mayor – currently held by Mayor Tim Goodwin
3 City Council – seats currently held by Councilmembers DJ Rich, Bill Farley, and Skip Fink.

Important Dates and Information:

Filing Dates-Friday, August 22nd, 2025- 12:00 PM - Friday, September 5th, 2025 12:00 PM.
Candidate Filing: Mayor $50 // City Council $25
Election Date- Tuesday, November 4th, 2025
Runoff- Tuesday, November 18th, 2025

Runoff for Mayor:

Elton Culpepper

All runoff elections will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eligible voters should cast their ballots at their assigned polling locations on Election Day.

Early Voting

Early voting will be available from Wednesday, November 12 through Friday, November 14, 2025, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.

All early voting will take place at Charleston County Elections Headquarters, located at 4340 Corporate Road, North Charleston.

Absentee Voting

Absentee ballots are being mailed to voters who previously requested them for potential runoffs.
Absentee ballot applications must be received by Charleston County Elections Headquarters no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Completed absentee ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted
