Folly Beach, SC

Effective October 14, 2020, all vessels moored within the territorial limits of Folly Beach are required to obtain a permit and renew the permit every 60 days. A copy of the ordinance can be found here. https://cityoffollybeach.com/city-ordinances There is no cost for the permit, but you must complete the application form found here: Mooring Permit Application. This permit may be revoked at any time for violation of the requirements of City Ordinance 134.51-134.99. You can find the ordinance by searching here: https://cityoffollybeach.com/city-ordinances. Violations of these requirements are subject to fines of up to $5,000 and/or jail for up to 30 days. Additionally, the vessel will be subject to tow, impound, or destruction at the owner's expense.

A permit costs $15 every 60 days. You can either pay City Hall in person or over the phone at (843) 588-2447 or online at the link below
