Comprehensive Plan Update Underway State law requires that the City update its Comprehensive Plan every
4 years. The last update of our plan was done in 2004. This coming year,
the Planning Commission will be working to update this important document
to reflect changes that have taken place in our community. The Comprehensive
Plan is an important document which serves as guide for our Council and
Planning Commission by laying out the current conditions existing in our
community and providing a blueprint of how our citizens would like to
see things in the future. On this page is the text and supporting maps
of the 2004 Plan. Beginning early next year, the Planning Commission will
be holding a series of public meetings to gather your input on any changes
that need to be made. Please take some time to read through the plan.
If you have any suggestions or ideas feel free to forward them to City
staff of the Planning Commission. The PDF files are maps showing the current land uses in the City on the West and East ends. There is also a PDF of Future land uses.
